TRAVEL
Loose has an extensive travel program which includes day trips, casino trips, sporting events, overnight trips and extended travel both in the US and abroad. Please feel free to call and ask questions about any of our travel opportunities or to register for the trip of your choice.
REQUIREMENTS FOR TRAVEL
The travel program here at Loose is open to all ages. (However, you must be 21 years of age to attend Casino trips.) All our travelers must have a complete emergency contact form on file.
It is the traveler’s responsibility to inform the center prior to signing up for a trip of any disabilities or health conditions that will need special accommodation. The traveler will be made aware of any limitations.
RESERVATIONS
Payment for all day and overnight trips must be made in full at the time of registration to reserve a spot. You may pay with cash, a check written out to Loose Senior Center or credit card. Reservations can be made over the phone, in person or by mail.
CANCELLATIONS
Please inform the center as soon as possible if you are unable to attend your trip. A refund will only be issued if your spot on the trip can be sold to someone else or cancelled with the tour company and venue with no cost to the center. There will be no refund due to inclement weather if the tour company and venue are in operation.
DAY OF A TRIP
When you arrive at Loose Center, please park your car around the perimeter of our parking lot to allow our daily guests to have access to parking.
Before boarding the bus, please enter the building and check-in at our computer kiosk AND check-in with our Trip Escort. A travel ID card will be given to you for your trip.
A bottle of water and crackers will be provided. You may bring an additional non-alcohol beverage and snack. Remember it’s important to stay hydrated while traveling.
Please note there is no smoking or alcohol consumption allowed on the bus.
If you become ill or injured on the trip, please inform the Trip Escort. Please understand we will need to keep as close to the itinerary as possible.
BUS DRIVER TIP
A tip envelope will be passed around for the bus driver. This is voluntary, yet customary. A suggested amount would be in the $2-$3 range. Please feel free to add more to the envelope if you feel the driver has provided above average service.
