Loose Center Travel Policy

Eligibility to Participate

·         Must be age 18 or older (unless otherwise stated for specific trips).

·         Must be physically and mentally able to travel independently or be accompanied by a responsible caregiver.

·         Registration and payment must be completed by the published deadline.

·         Departure and return times will be strictly observed. Late arrivals may miss the trip without refund.

Registration and Payment

·         Trips are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

·         Payment is due in full at the time of registration unless otherwise specified.

·         Payments may be made by check, cash, or approved electronic payment method.

Cancellations and Refunds

·         Cancellations must be made in writing.

·         Refunds may be issued only if:

1.      The center is able to fill your spot from a waiting list, or

2.      The trip is canceled by the Loose Senior Center.

·         Refunds may be subject to a $20.00 processing fee for the cancellation.

Health and Safety

·         The Center does not provide personal care or medical assistance.

·         Participants must bring any necessary medications or manage their own health needs.

·         If a participant appears to be unwell or unable to safely join the activity, staff may require them to forgo participation for safety reasons.

Code of Conduct

·         Respectful, courteous behavior is expected at all times.

·         Recreational drug use is prohibited during excursions.

·         Disruptive behavior may result in removal from the group at the participants expense and possible disqualification from future trips.

Emergency Contacts

·         All participants must provide a current emergency contact at registration.

·         In the event of an emergency, staff will contact the listed person at the return of the trip and may call emergency services during the trip, if necessary.

Personal Responsibility

·         Participants are responsible for their own belongings and must carry appropriate identification.

·         Loose or the staff is not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged items.

Inclement Weather and Unforeseen Events

·         Trips may be canceled or modified due to transportation vendor depending on their policy regarding weather, road conditions, or other vendor changes. Full or partial refunds will be issued based on recoverable costs.

Required Waiver and Documentation

·         All participants must complete and sign the Loose Senior Center Travel Participation Acknowledgment & Waiver Form prior to attending any excursion.

·         The waiver includes acknowledgment of the travel policy, health and safety agreement, emergency contact information, and a release of liability.

·         Failure to submit the signed form may result in denial of participation in the trip, without refund.

Additional Notes:
-Upon arrival to Loose Center, please park your car around the perimeter of the parking lot allowing our daily guests access to parking.

-Before boarding the bus, please enter the building and check-in at our computer kiosk under BUS TRIP.

-A bottle of water and small snack will be provided on most trips. You may bring an additional non-alcohol beverages and snacks. Remember it is important to stay hydrated while traveling.

-A tip envelope will be passed around for the bus driver. This is voluntary, yet customary. A suggested amount would be in the $2-$3 range. Please feel free to add more to the envelope if you feel the driver has provided above average service.
